Tree species diversity of Chittagong University Campus flora in Bangladesh

Investigation has been carried out to the flora of Chittagong University Campus from July 2021 February 2022 recognize diversity wild tree species as well planted in campus area. A total 304 (both and planted) belonging 201 genera under 69 families was recognized flora. These were categorized angiosperms (297 196 64 families) gymnosperms (7 five families). Furthermore, classified dicot (95% species) monocot (5% species). Among families, top 10 represented 47% all remaining 59 by 53% species. The study revealed that 12% found natural habitat, 32% conservation programs, 20% both areas, 36% exotics. species, 13% regarded Vulnerable, 4% Endangered 3% Critically Endangered, collectively treated threatened (20% recorded checklist is prepared with updated nomenclature; each annotated local name(s), family name, status occurrence (wild/planted), status.
